How to register a trademark In Morocco, any person may become owner of a trademark by registering it at OMPIC.  You may file your request for registration of a trademark with OMPIC's headquarters in Casablanca, or in the 28 regional chapters. The registration form is available on-line .
You may also file your request for registration of a trademark electronically if you have subscribed to the "DirectInfo Marques" on-line service.  You may be a person or an entity, a resident in Morocco, a Moroccan citizen or a foreigner. If you are a non-resident, you must designate an agent domiciled in Morocco.
The file must contain an accurate description of your trademark, which makes it possible to recognize and distinguish it. It must also specify the type of products or services with which it is associated. The requests for registration regularly filed are published. Your competitors, holders of registered trademarks, have a right of opposition What to do in the event of conflict if they think that the request is causing them harm. This right of opposition is exercised for a 2-month period from the date of publication of the registration request. If no opposition were retained, your trademark is registered for 10 years on the Moroccan territory.
